Do you ever wonder why something doesn’t work for you?
Why everyone around you is doing great but you are still struggling?
Why so many have success with a project and you can’t quite seem to get it done?
I have those thoughts as well.
This morning I woke up with some thoughts and ideas that I just had to share with you.
All of the doubt you and I are experiencing in our lives is nothing more than excuses. That’s right. The doubt is nothing more than an excuse. All of the thoughts such as “It wasn’t meant for me”, “I can’t seem to make it work”, “I can’t do it”, “They must have been lucky”, “They were in the right place at the right time”; these are only excuses that keep me and you in the dark.
The truth of the matter is simply this.
If anyone has ever been able to do the task you and I are pondering; then we can do it also.
It is not about luck or being in the right place at the right time.
There are typically 3 things that hold us back and keep us from stepping out of the darkness.
First, we do not believe in ourselves and we do not believe in our abilities. We doubt who we are and what we can accomplish. Doubting yourself is only an excuse and it is time we let it go. You can overcome self-doubt by educating yourself. Learning something new is the best and quickest way to stop the self-doubt. If you increase your knowledge about a topic, it naturally will boost your confidence and ability to share information about that topic.
Have you ever been with a group of people where a topic that you knew something about came up? Remember how good you felt inside when you were able to participate confidently because you knew what they were talking about. We can increase that feeling by constantly learning new things. No matter what you are interested in you can always be a student and learn more about it. Then in the process of sharing your new-found knowledge, you become more effective and you begin to rid yourself of the self-doubt that is holding you back.
Another thing that is holding you back is your lack of a vehicle. Not a vehicle for moving down the road; a vehicle for moving you forward along your life’s path.
Vehicle’s come in all different shapes and styles. The problem that most people find is that they tend to allow the people around them to decide which vehicle they are going to spend most of their adult life riding in.
We all have a lot of well-intentioned people in our lives that really think they know exactly what we should be doing with our lives. The problem with this is that from a very early age; usually 2 to 5 years old, we are programmed by these well-meaning people to be a certain way.
We grow up living out the dreams of others and we don’t even realize that we are doing it.
If you want to have true success in life, you might have to change the vehicle you are moving along your life’s path in.
It might not be the one meant for you at all.
In today’s technologically advanced world, it is very easy to try out several different vehicles until you find the one that actually feels good to you.
We have so many opportunities available to us today that there is no reason you can’t be successful in any area that you choose to be. The tools are there all around you.
The key is that you have to educate yourself and you have to make sure that you are travelling in a vehicle that is actually built for you and not the people around you.
Today, I encourage you to start the process of being you.
I also invite you to learn more about how to release the doubts that are holding you back and move towards achieving the life you truly want to be living.
I wish you success along your path and I look forward to meeting you as we travel down the roads of this life and the next.
